A Deep Dive Into Portraiture - Part 2

PPSCV is proud to offer another in-studio presentation with in-depth demonstrations exploring elements of portraiture. Using a collegial and collaborative discussion format, Marcus Araiza will explain and demonstrate with professional models the best practices in portraiture. This presentation is intended for both beginner and intermediate photography audiences.

This session is a continuation from last month's "Deep Dive Into Portraiture". (However, attendance last month is not a requirement to follow this month's content.) The video of last month's presentation will be available on our members-only YouTube channel shortly.

Takeaways

Attendees will come away with a better understanding of styles in head shot portraiture as well as lighting and posing techniques for mastering them. In particular, this presentation will have 2 parts. The first part will introduce portrait sessions that are designed to sell. The second part will explore different lens choices and the impact on your portraits. We will add to this a demonstration of different lighting positions and selections and the effect on images of your clients.

The presentation will be Wednesday May 14, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Please arrive between 5:30 and 6:00 PM so we can begin promptly.

Marcus Araiza received his Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) credentials in 2016. He has over 25 years of experience working with top brands like Sony Pictures, Columbia TriStar, Meta, Sony PlayStation, Google, and LinkedIn. Starting in Hollywood film studios at the age of 23, he brings a bold, authentic style that personalizes professional brands.
