John Teague: The Art of Seeing

September 14, 2011
4:00 pmto7:30 pm

How does one create powerful images with emotional impact? Is it an accident, luck or just a natural ability only some are born with?

The Art of Seeing is a program designed to look beyond our fast-paced approach to image making. As photographers trying to make a living in this market, most of us are finding ourselves defaulting to just shutter button pushers. We all need to slow down. If we take the time to really see with our eye, mind and soul we can create rather than record that literal image of a moment in time.

Beyond the camera viewfinder is an untapped world, a world that many of us yearn to discover. The Art of Seeing is an attempt to wake up all of us. Join us as we reflect on how we develop our ability to create moods and emotions beyond the camera frame.

Please note that his program is part of the annual Outdoor Program & BBQ. It is being held at Kelly Park in San Jose. More information can be found here.
