To earn the CPP credential the photographer must pass a comprehensive written exam measuring their technical expertise. Successfully submitted their work to a panel of judges for review and approval. Renew their credentials every 5 years with continuing education, submitting new work for critical review, or retaking the certification exam.

This Professional Photographers of America degree is awarded in recognition of service to the profession as an orator, author, or mentor. It is one of the highest recognitions for speaking, writing, or mentoring on photography and positions the photorapher as an authority in the industry.

This Professional Photographers of America degree celebrates superior photographic competence through a variety of channels. It is awarded through photographic competition, advanced education, and service to the profession.

This Professional Photographers of California degree is awarded after successful completion of acredited education in the these three areas of professional education: Art & Technical, Business & Marketing, and Camera & Lighting.
